SAFEGUARDING

All schools are required to have a Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy and clear procedures that guide the practices of staff when safeguarding children and promoting their welfare.

Kings Priory School (KPS) takes very seriously its duty towards all its pupils who have been entrusted to its care and seeks to provide a school environment where all children are safe, secure, valued, respected, and listened to.

PREVENT

Prevent is a government strategy designed to stop people becoming terrorists or supporting terrorist or extremist causes. The Prevent strategy covers all types of terrorism and extremism, including the extreme right wing, violent Islamist groups and other causes.

BRITISH VALUES

Here at Kings Priory School we endeavour to develop not only the academic skills of our pupils but to also instil self-knowledge, moral courage, a capacity for imaginative sympathy for others and the ability to reflect fully on one’s life within modern Britain’s society.

Our school’s within a school model provides the opportunities to build relationships that promote mutual respect, tolerance and acceptance of difference. Through chapter time, chapel and assembly our school values, which are rooted in the Christian faith, are promoted in across all age groupings.

ONLINE SAFETY

At Kings Priory School we have our own policies and Online Safety guidance to ensure that students and staff remain safe online.

Providing our students with opportunities to explore our changing world in exciting, challenging and dynamic ways will support not only the growth of more effective independent learners but also the emergence of students who are equipped with the skills for school, education and the workplace.
