Admissions
Thank you for considering Kings Priory School as the school of choice for your son or daughter. Kings Priory School is a popular and growing all-through Academy and we are delighted that it has become such a popular choice for many parents.
Applying to Kings Priory School
The school’s main points of admission are Reception, Year 7 and Year 12.
Applications for places for Reception and Year 7 should be made using the North Tyneside Council common application process which is available on the Council's website.
There is no separate application form for Kings Priory School for these year groups.
Admission to year groups other than those relating to the age groups to which children will normally be admitted depends on spaces becoming available in those year groups (e.g. when a current family relocates to another area)
Fair Access Protocol
We participate in North Tyneside Local Authority, Fair Access Protocol. This helps to ensure that all children including those that are unplaced and vulnerable, or having difficulty in securing a school place in-year, get access to a school place as quickly as possible.

Alternatively, if you wish to apply formally for an In-Year Admission, you can do this by contacting the Local Authority by clicking on the link below. Parents will be notified of the outcome of their application and details about their right to appeal.
Waiting Lists
Waiting Lists
The School will operate a waiting list for each year group. Where in any year, the School receives more applications for places than there are places available, a waiting list will operate until the end of the academic year.
This will be maintained by the Woodard Academies Trust and it will be open to any parent to ask for his or her child’s name to be placed on the waiting list following an unsuccessful application.
Where places become vacant, they will be allocated to children on the waiting list in accordance with the oversubscription criteria. The application of the oversubscription criteria takes place when the vacancy arises and does not take account of how long a child has been on the waiting list.
The “Admission to Reception” criteria will apply to the year groups of Reception to Year 6, the “Admission to Year 7” criteria will apply to the year groups of Year 7 to Year 11, and the “Admission to Year 12” criteria will apply to the year groups of Year 12 and Year 13.
